Take Home Kit

The tooth whitening process is effective on most discoloured teeth however darker stains caused by antibiotics are more difficult to whiten. It is important to note that the degree of tooth whiteness varies from patient to patient and depends on the structure of the teeth.

Hydrogen peroxide is the active agent for tooth whitening and has been safely used for many years in the treatment of gums and oral soft tissues. Once your teeth are whitened it is important to follow simple post tooth whitening care instructions, so your teeth remain whiter than they were before treatment. This includes flossing and brushing twice daily.

In Chair Whitening

This treatment takes about one hour and is a simple procedure. Your dentist will apply a tooth whitening gel, which is activated by a special light. The light and gel work together to gently penetrate and lighten your teeth as they break-up substances that cause discoloration.

Whilst the light is applied you will be provided with special glasses to view a video or listen to music of your choice to help pass the time. At the end of the procedure your post tooth whitening care will be explained to you and any further questions will be answered.
